Katie grew up in a small town in Northeast Missouri, where the values of hard work and community were instilled in her from an early age. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Thanks to her husband’s career as a contractor, Katie has lived in many regions across the United States.
